[Nagi's there already, somehow even quieter than usual. It's a mental silence as much as it is a physical one, which might explain things. He doesn't remember Schuldig killing him, since he'd been a drone at the time, but he does remember every godawful, if brief, moment of consciousness after taking that shot to the face. Even supposedly instant deaths still last seconds.
