[Ema's lived with Schuldig long enough to know that there's no hiding the conversation she had with Edward (http://puzzlerprince.livejournal.com/7636.html?thread=673748#t673748) from Schuldig. Additionally, she's familiar enough with his patterns to know that he's probably not going to pass up the chance to confront her about it. Avoiding him is fruitless and will make this hurt worse later. It's better to get this over with, quickly and as easily as possible. That way, the sting ends up being briefer.
