[Mercifully, Schuldig remembers almost nothing of his death; the sensation of his body being twisted more or less blended in with the agony he'd already been experiencing, and his neck snapping happened so suddenly that there's really nothing to remember.
But he remembers the pain, in crystal clarity. And when he jerks awake and upright in bed, breathing hard, it's almost still there, the memory so vivid he has to bring his hands up to cover his eyes and confirm that yes, the sensation of his fingers is what's real, anything else is just an unwelcome ghost...
He can see those fingers, too, which means the blindness is also gone. But still...he feels shakier and more unsettled than he ever thought he could be, than he's been since Rosenkrüs. The comparisons between this place and that one just keep racking up, which is doing nothing for his frame of mind.
He hated Rosenkrüs, more than he's ever hated anything else.
He re-establishes the telepathic link between the Schwarz members, slowly, almost easing his way into their minds. And, eventually, he gets up and goes to the phone, his voice a low rasp rather than his usual sleazy confidence.]
Schwarz, we need to talk. In person.
Joshua...did you ever go see that girl? Your mind's as coy as the rest of you. [It almost sounds like a joke, except that he doesn't quite manage to pull off the humor.] If anyone talked to that Lucy girl, then I want to talk to you.

Date: 2010-10-05 06:32 am (UTC)I went upstairs - it must have been after you, or you'd have known what happened to me already. I wanted to see what she was working on, but she told me it was none of my business - so I grabbed the paper. All it said was "I SAID IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS" in big red letters.
Then my eyes started to burn...and I went blind. [His voice has gone flat.] I don't remember much after that, but she must have killed me.

Date: 2010-10-05 06:45 am (UTC)As for me, I waited until she let me see what she was working on - it was a picture of myself falling down the stairs with her watching. Quite poorly done, if you ask me - don't they teach art in school these days? At any rate, I asked her if she would allow me to draw a little something of my own, which she agreed to. I drew that figure of the girl they found in Westport, upon which she brainwashed me into ripping it up and falling down the stairs.

Nothing fatal. I banged my head and cracked a rib or two, but with so many healers in town, they're relatively minor injuries.
